Attendance

St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School follows the Diocesan Calendar guidelines. This calendar is distributed early each school year. All dates are subject to change.

School Hours

Students are not to arrive before 7:00 a.m. There in NO SUPERVISION before that time. Students arriving between 7:00 am and 7:30 am will be charged a $2.00 fee for before school care.

7:30   Students enter campus and play outside on the playground. Students are not to gather or play in the courtyard.

7:45 Bell rings - signal for teachers to gather students outside of the classrooms in a line.

7:45 Students are to walk over to the cafeteria in a line with their teacher for Morning Prayer.

**Arriving any time after 7:45 is considered tardy!**

8:00 Morning Prayer begins. Students who are tardy will gather together in the cafeteria, by the trophy case and join their class after prayer with tardy slip in hand.

 

School Dismissal

School dismissal is at 3:00 pm. For all grades. Wednesday dismissal is at 1:00 pm. For all grades. Parents in grades Kindergarten through Second Grade are to park their cars Alta Vista parking lot and walk inside the fence and pick-up their children. All other students are all to be picked up on St. Catherine’s Way . Parents must come to designated area to pick up students. Students not picked up 15 minutes after dismissal go to Extended Care.

Classroom doors are NOT to be opened by parents. Teachers will open doors when children are ready to be dismissed. Identification is required from any adult who is not known to school personnel and who come and pick up the child. We reserve the right not to be release a child to anyone not the custodial parent.

Students are not allowed to use the basketball courts or playground equipment after school unless supervised by school personnel.

Tardiness

Punctuality is a essential part of the educational philosophy at St. Catherine of Siena School. Tardiness is a serious matter, since it effects not only the tardy child but also teachers and all of students whose education Is interrupted by late arrivals.

Tardy Policy:

A tardiness of policy of THREE(3) tardy in one quarter will constitute an absence

Two tardies in one week will constitute an inschool suspension.

Financial Aid
